Abstract/Summary

My glam, you glam, we glam. A cross-reading of curating and fashion. How do fashion and curating interact in contemporary exhibitions? The topic of my argument is positioned at the crossroads of exhibition-making and fashion, therefore I would like to know what an exhibition does and what fashion does. I see both discursive formations, curating and fashion, as spaces of representation, as spaces of negotiation. In these spaces of representation, subject positions are proposed and learned; ideas of race, class and gender are put into view.
