Abstract/Summary

Argues that in deciding on reform of the approach taken to family dispute resolution (FDR) within the English family justice system, following the Family Justice Review due to report back to the Secretary of Justice in 2011, cognisance should be taken of the success or otherwise of the changes introduced in Australia by the Family Law Act 2006 to the way in which FDR services are provided in that country. Identifies the advantages and disadvantages of the Australian reforms.
