CentAUR - How to Export items

You can export items from the repository into a variety of formats to create bibliographies, provide lists in emails and text documents, and save to reference management software.

Exporting to EndNote

In EndNote

  1. Create a new EndNote library for your exported items, unless you intend to add them to an existing EndNote library.

In CentAUR

  1. Carry out a search for the items that you wish to download.
  2. On the search results page, select 'EndNote' as the export option from the drop down list, and click 'Export'
  3. Select 'Open' and then browse to find the EndNote library into which you wish to save your items.

Exporting to HTML Citation (for a quick list or bibliography)

  1. Carry out a search for the items that you wish to download.
  2. On the search results page:
    1. Choose the order that you want the items to appear in (e.g. title order): select an option from the drop down box next to 'Order by results' and click 'Reorder'.
    2. Select 'HTML Citation' as the export option from the drop down list, and click 'Export'
  3. Your results will now appear as a text list and the titles will have hyperlinks to that item in CentAUR.
  4. Copy and paste the list into a document or email.
  5. To return to your search results in CentAUR, use your browser back button.

NB: CentAUR's output citation style is fixed. If you wish to produce a bibliography with a different citation style, use the EndNote export option. EndNote offers many citation styles.
