Abstract/Summary

This research adopts Lefebvre’s (1991) spatial triad to examine the consumption of a Chinese heritage site and looks at its meaning production and construction within a physical and cultural context. Tourists also contribute to their cultural identity projects through aesthetic appreciation of natural landscapes from a Chinese lens.
