Abstract/Summary

As Weather marks its 80th anniversary, we hear from some of the recent generations of editorial board members reflecting on the journal’s lasting influence and its role in shaping meteorological communication. Drawing on memories of weather and climate to discussions about the ambitions of Weather, this commemorative feature highlights how personal stories, scientific milestones and the Royal Meteorological Society’s mission have continued to define the journal across eight remarkable decades.
