Abstract/Summary

Radiocarbon dating was undertaken on expected Saxon aged remains at Springhead and Northfleet on the route of HS1. Their analysis enabled two separate phases of Mill construction and use to be discerned at Northfleet and that all settlement activity dated to the early Saxon period
