Abstract/Summary

This handbook examines the process of designing construction projects in order to help understand and manage this process in a better way. There is no single prescription that will suit every project and we provided illustrations and guidance based on the current level of understanding of the design process. Our main objective has been to help improve the efficiency of the design process and its integration with the construction process. It is the responsibility of everyone concerned with a project to be aware of the issues, managerial needs and required practice. We hope that this handbook will appeal to a wide readership throughout the construction industry.
