CentAUR Policies

 

Policy on depositing research outputs in CentAUR

Staff are required to deposit:

  • The metadata (author, title etc.) for all publications as soon as they are accepted for publication by the publisher.
  • AND the author final manuscripts of journal articles and conference proceedings as soon as accepted for publication. Full texts for other publications optional but encouraged.
  • The metadata for other research outputs that have reached the public domain through exhibition, performance or production. Full versions optional.

Depositing research outputs in CentAUR is essential for compliance with the University's open access policy, HEFCE's policy on open access in the next REF and with funders' mandates for Open Access.

Deposit Licence

An agreement between the University and the author/creator to make research outputs available in CentAUR. The licence appears at the last stage of the deposit process and it is at that point that the author is required to click agreement.

 

End User Agreement

This explains the rights of access to and re-use of the content held within CentAUR.

If an item in the institutional repository is published under a licence such as Creative Commons (denoted by CC Attribution or CC-BY or mentions Open Access), the terms and conditions of that licence supersede the terms of this Agreement for that item.
