Abstract/Summary

This is the first textbook of its type dealing with gender issues in all core modules and several popular options in the LLB curriculum. Like the other books in the Great Debates series, it is intended to take students and teachers beyond the traditional male-centred syllabus by introducing debates on gender issues for classroom use or student research. The 18 chapters were written by 20 authors, all experts in their substantive fields as well as in feminist legal scholarship. It is an important contribution to scholarship because it is pioneering and written by top researchers.
