In both countries, Indians have the best outcomes, Bangladeshis the worst, with Pakistanis in between. Second generation ethnic minorities experience wage gaps in the UK, but wage parity or advantage in the US. Among immigrants, adjusted gaps are larger in the US than in the UK, indicating that characteristics explain the gaps in the UK more than in the US. Immigrants experience wage assimilation, but only in the US.
