The results obtained indicate that attitude towards green housing, perceived behavior control, and perceived self-identity have positive causal effects on behavioral intentions to purchase such homes. However, social referents’ opinion relating to sustainable homes is not significantly related to intent to purchase. The findings also indicate that interdependencies among psychosocial variables are important extensions of TPB to predict behavioral intentions to purchase green and sustainable homes.
